Lisa Starr

Lisa Starr is a Holistic Healing Arts Practitioner, artist, ceremonialist, shamanic guide, and educator with more than 20 years of experience exploring the relationship between healing, creativity, nature, and spiritual practice.

Drum making has been at the heart of Lisa’s personal journey and artistic expression. Through crafting drums and sacred instruments, she discovered a powerful pathway for connecting with patterns, ritual, the natural world, and the deeper dimensions of self. Her work weaves together traditional wisdom, Earth Magic, sacred ceremony, mindfulness, and modern approaches to Ecopsychology.

As a Minister of the Quero Apache tradition, Lisa serves as a ceremonialist, shamanic guide, and guardian. Her teachings draw upon the wisdom of ritual and ceremony, inviting people to develop a deeper relationship with themselves, the Earth, and the unseen dimensions of life. She teaches practical ways to bring the principles of Earth wisdom and shamanism into everyday life.

From 2010–2020, Lisa was the owner-builder of Bonita Domes, her private residence, studio, and retreat in Joshua Tree, California. She designed and built the structures using SuperAdobe earthbag technology, working directly with the earth on which they stand. Rooted in earth architecture and sacred geometry, Bonita Domes became an expression of Lisa’s commitment to sustainable living, creativity, and the healing relationship between people and place.

Today, Lisa continues to live and create in Joshua Tree. Her daily practices include meditation in the Tantric Buddhist tradition, yoga, hiking, ceramics, and shamanic practice. She brings these diverse influences together through an embodied approach to healing, creativity, and connection with the natural world.

Lisa’s work is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with the Earth, awaken creativity, and discover the wisdom that lives within us and around us.
